Introducing
New Water Tube Sleeves!
Sleeve Instructions
Pick a day with calm winds to close the pool, ideally below 10mph so the sleeves and pool cover won't blow around during the closing process.
The water tube shown is a double chamber tube. The same process can be used for a single chamber water tube.

Step 1:
Fill the water tube chamber(s) with just enough
water to give the water tube around five to ten pounds of weight. This can be accomplished with the garden hose on full for five to ten seconds into the tube chamber(s).

Step 2:
Insert the weighted water tube into the sleeve by standing and holding the open end of the sleeve with one hand and slowly dropping in the water tube with the other hand.
Step 3:
With the water tube almost fully inserted into the sleeve, lay the water tube and sleeve down and continue filling the water tube until it's about one-half to three-quarters full. Close the water tube cap(s).
Step 4:
Pull the sleeve taught so there is about 14 - 16 inches of sleeve past the end of the water tube.
Step 5:
Twist the open end of the sleeve clockwise three times and install cable tie (included). Leave about 5 to 6 inches between the cable tie and the water tube to allow for water tube expansion. Do not over tighten the cable tie so it can be easily removed with a wire snip when opening the pool.

See the insert water tube video on the home page for a demonstration. This process becomes very easy after doing it a few times.

Pool Opening, removing the sleeves
Step 1:
When you're ready to remove the winter cover, simply remove the sleeve cable ties with a wire snip. Pull the open end back far enough to expose the water tube caps. Open the caps.

Step 2:
Pick up the opposite end of the water tube and sleeve to around a 45 to 60 degree angle and let the water empty out of the water tube.

Step 3:
With just a little bit of water remaining at the capped end of the water tube to provide some weight, pull on the end of the sleeve to remove it from the water tube.

Step 4:
Discard the sleeve. Keep in mind the sleeve material is recyclable so place in a recycle bin for the trash collection if available. Wipe off the water tube with an old towel to remove any moisture and small debris. Fold and store the water tube for use at the next pool closing.
No laborious cleaning of the water tubes required!
